Listen in: Audio spots on the GRC Tracing Service
For over 80 years, the GRC Tracing Service has been helping families get answers about the fate of their loved ones who went missing during the war. To mark this special anniversary, the GRC Tracing Service has collaborated with Klassik Radio to produce three 60-second audio spots titled Engagiert seit 80 Jahren (80 years of commitment), Betroffene erzählen (Enquirers tell their stories) and Weltweite Suche (Worldwide search), which were aired between 6 and 8 May. The spots provide information on the humanitarian mandate of the GRC Tracing Service, as well as the tasks and services it undertakes. Its origins and its work as part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement are also highlighted. The three segments feature Frauke Weber, the head of the GRC Tracing Service, and several participants in the GRC Tracing Service's contemporary witness interviews.
